The Butterfly Project

Ive been determined to stop self harming for years and every time it beats me
But this time I've found a better method that either could work or could fail dramatically
I'm doing this not only for myself, but for my friends because they hate seeing me do this to myself and I hate doing it to myself to.

Step 1. Draw a butterfly on your skin where you want to cut (Sharpie or marker pens work best)
Step 2. Name the butterfly after someone you care about (Like a family member, a friend, etc etc)
Step 3. Let the butterfly fade naturally (No scrubbing it off)
Step 4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone then you've killed it (If you don't, then it lives)
Step 5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting once kills all of them (Think of it as you've killed the person you named your butterfly after)
Step 6. Another person can draw them on you, if somebody wants you to stop then let then draw it (That makes it extra special)
Step 7. Even if you don't want to cut, then draw one anyway to show your support for people who want to stop self harming (Name it after somebody that you know is struggling with it)

Hope this helps if anybody wants to stop self harming

This method really sounds cool : D may be i should have a try. Btw, can this really stop self-harming?

I dont know you so i cant judge or tell you what to do, but i would defiently tell you to try it, if you want to stop S-H.
It has before, and it's helping me. Alot. I haven't cut for something like 2 months or something.

I draw a butterfly on my left arm yesterday: D but it seems not very useful, may be i should draw it somewhere i could see easily

Depends who you named it after, if it's someone you really care about, then it might work better, but everyone's different, it worked for me but it might not work for somebody else

its cool
