The 15th & Final Lesson - Love Makes the World Go Round

Lesson 15 - Love makes the world go round.

This is my last lesson learned. It’s with some hesitation that I write because it’s the one lesson I seem to always fail, at least romantically. The dreaded “L” word! The quest for which has caused me to make some really bad decisions in my life. But I am simply talking about romantic love.

Look around at the world today; divisiveness and strife are at every turn; senseless slaughter of innocent people borne of conflicting ideals. Instead of gaining knowledge and understanding of the world ; globally the seeds of fear are sown into us by, our leaders, our media, our schools etc, highlighting our differences in race, culture, religion, nationality, and even our political leanings, cautioning us be wary, if not outright be intolerant of those who are not the same as we are.

Perhaps I am a dreamer or idealist or both. But I have found that giving love and mercy to myself, my family and the people around me, and If I focus on all kinds of good - physically, verbally and mentally, the world is a slightly brighter place. Don’t get me wrong, this can be a real challenge for me. Oft times I am so wrapped inside my head, that I am oblivious to the world around me. But I know that when I am able to rise above the mental flotsam and jetsam floating around in my consciousness and practice “goodness”, it effects everyone around me and makes life just a wee bit lighter. I truly believe that everyone could live this way, the World itself would be a much more peaceful place to live in.

Love is a force of the human heart, not limited simply emotions shared between a man and woman, but a parent and a child, teacher and student, friend for friend, neighbor to neighbor, and mankind to mankind, and all creatures of the Earth.

Tolerance, understanding, and acceptance are the core of love, but love has a wider meaning and boundaries, it is what makes all humans in all nations, languages and races try and co-exist in peace. With love that has a wider meaning and boundaries, it is what makes all humans in all nations, languages and races try and co-exist in peace.

Thanks little lena. Its a nice lesson, one that continues to reveal more as time passes.

What a fabulous life lesson! Love is indeed something we all strive for and in turn once we receive try to be better at. I believe love is limitless and understanding, patient, kind, forgiving and so much more.
In my life I have done things I have not always been proud of but over the last little bit I have been able to rectify some of the things I have done that have hurt others I love. I will never be perfect , far from it acutally but I hope I am always known as a person with a big heart that is full of love :)
