Laundry Room Love

about 4 months after we moved in a couple from China moved in, people in our little complex tend to stay put for a long time, we've been here since Oct 2007. I've always been fond of this couple. They are sweet  people. you can tell they are God's people, that's bigger than any religion they might have signed up for. Anyway, many months ago I went into the laundry room to find someone had turned the dryer on with our clothes. This was totally unexpected and anonymous. I never found out who it was, i did observe the other laundry basket that was in the laundry room and assumed that who ever it belonged to must have done that good turn to me. Over time I noticed that basket belonged to the Asian couple next door. Today, as I did laundry i recognized the basket, their wash was done, so I started the dryer for them.
I felt so light doing this one little thing. That was the pay off.
Then about an hour later I was floored when I came to put my laundry in the dryer, and someone had bothered to move our clothes from the washer to the dryer and spend the $1.25 to start it! That really made my day

Lovely!!!! ...sorta a pay it forward. ..wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to clone kindness...all you guys rock!

It's really amazing how much just one small act of kindness can do. Those particular neighbors I have really rock!

A very heartwarming account of just how much solace neighbourly kindness can bring. Thus shines a good deed in a dark world.
