Bosque Del Apache

I am half Cherokee on my dad's side. That's right, my grandfather was FULL blooded Choctaw - Cherokee from the creek side of Tahlequah Oklahoma. My family can be found on the Dawes roll here ->

My mom sent me to live on the reservation when my dad died. I hated it at the time, but now I miss it. Life was simple, and based around the dinner table. You ate at whichever house you were at when dinner was served, and the women would take care of any kid that happened along, even though they were dirt poor. And the food....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I miss her bean breads.

If you want to know more about my people, start here -> http://www.cherokee.org/

Have you seen the site lately? Major improvements have been made and the culture section is way more informative. :)
