Isn't Everyone? ...

Isn't everyone? We all have things we keep to ouselves. I believe it is important to stand up for what you think is right though. I guess with people I know and am comfortable with I don't have a problem exhibiting my alter ego, but in the company of strangers I am more reserved. Of course give me a soapbox and an interesting topic and I have no problem victualizing.

Introversion shouldn't be confused with shyness.
I am an introvert and I enjoy spending time with other people, but I often feel like I need to "recharge" and spend time by myself after being around others for a long time. We think before we say or do and are often more interested in our own thoughts. Of course, that doesn't make us selfish in the least. We often use this knowledge of ourselves to create things that benefit others.
Extroverts feel recharged spending time with people. They feed off the energy of others. They are more interested in what other people are thinking.
There is a place for all of us in the world, extrovert and introvert, and most people are not purely one or the other. I hope that cleared up any misconceptions. I feel it's important to know which one you sway more towards. I felt more at peace with myself when I knew which I was.

I think I am both too! Im very outgoing around friends and people I know but I am also very private about a lot of things. When I get around strangers I get very very shy at first but like you said if an interesting topic comes up I can comfortably join the conversation
