She is not perfect. I am not perfect. Our marriage is not perfect. If you get to know me, you'll come to understand I have reasons to be here. I flirt innocently. All kinds of stuff. But, regardless, I love her and that's that. I have no plan, intention, or thoughts of leaving her. She is right for me.

After all these years, it's not 'honeymoon' time. The sex is few and far between. There are pounds where there once were none. Because we're not young anymore.

"Do you still love me even though I'm not like I used to be when I was younger?"

"Yes, sweetheart, I do."

"But I'm not skinny, I'm not horny, I'm..."

"Stop, sweetheart, Stop. You don't need to worry about it. Do you know why?"

"No, why?"

"I know you're not young anymore, how could you possibly be? You gave ALL your young years to me. Nobody will ever give me a better gift than that. All the young years you had, you gave to me."

I love her. I am happily married.

Keep up the great work~it's simply refreshing to hear this when so many people are so unhappy in their marriages ..I'm sure you inspired a few tonight!!!

Great post!! I hope it will be for me like that too. 😊

Beautifully said ... This is what true love is about

Where's the "I freaking adore this!" button because I want to click it! Just clicking the heart does not do justice to what you wrote! Congrats to you both !

Happily married myself. Completely understand.
