Dance In The Dark.

I first heard Gaga when my roommates showed me the video for "Poker Face". I wasn't thrilled and I thought she'd be a flash in the pan.

Another Christina Aguilerra wannabe-- but I was so wrong.

When I saw her performance on the VMA's for "Paparazzi" I was blown away. It took balls to do that performance and pull it off, but she did. That impresses me.

Her courage, success and great need to make it clear to people that it's okay to embrace your dark side-- is such a beautiful message. I listen to her music, I read her quotes, her lyrics and I'm blown away. The woman is only 23 or 24 and she's so evolved as a spirit. I admire that spirit and would like to find it within myself in my own life.

I think she's trendy, but in a weird way, which I respond to. As well, the message I'm getting over and over again in many of her older lyrics go like this:

"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore. "
— Lady Gaga

And this message continues on in her music. I myself, have horrible luck with men most often, so I get where she's coming from. I also am career focused and it's really nice to hear such a strong message about living life for yourself. It's about achieving your dreams and making this thing called 'living' work without being dependent on someone else.

It's a great independent message and I think women and MEN should live by that.

Perhaps I'm a bitter person, or it's coming off that way. Love can be great, I'm not saying never fall in love-- I'm merely saying, do not let it cause you to settle in your life for the things you never wanted.

Yes, love is about sacrifice, but at the same time, it's also about supporting one another's goals and desires.

Lady Gaga is all about inspiring others. She wants people to love themselves imperfect and flawed, dark and human; LOVE YOURSELF. Live for your dreams and never settle.

I think it's a great message and I love her for it!

P.S. She's also super hot, and I'm so not a lezzy but even I'd go lezzy for an evening with her :)

I have recently discovered her myself. I thought she was also a wannabe, but it turns out she has enormous talent and exhibits great artistry. Tony Bennett fondly called her the American Picasso. He might just be right!
