"sorry Excuse For A Hispanic"

Both my parents are Hispanic, and I only know a little bit of Spanish. I can sometimes understand what my friends are saying, but half the time I'm completely lost. The always tease me because I'm not a "real Mexican", a "sorry excuse for a Hispanic", or right in front of me they say how Mexicans are some of the worst Hispanics because of the way most speak the language. I barely get by in my Spanish class (I have a 67, 65 and below is failing) because I have no clue what I'm doing in that class.
