Natalie Cox--english Teacher
Corps Member Natalie Cox Readies her 10th Grade Classroom for Advanced Placement English.
Natalie Cox (Corps ’06) teaches 10th grade English at John F. Kennedy High School in Contra Costa where 66% of the school population is socioeconomically disadvantaged and only 11% of 10th graders in 2007 scored Proficient or Above on the California State Standards Tests. Natalie and her student’s big goal is to master state standards in preparation for an 11th grade Advanced Placement English course. Through a rigorous curriculum and an unyielding sense of possibility, 79% of Natalie’s students have scored Proficient or Above on the district Benchmark assessments, a score that is necessary to be accepted into an AP English class. Congratulations Natalie!
