Just About 1,000 Miles Apart

My girlfriend lives halfway across the country. I saw her about two weeks ago just for a weekend, and now I miss her so very terribly. She's incredibly busy, too, with full-time work, school, and taking care of a toddler, which makes it extra challenging. There are an incredible number of obstacles in the way of us being together, especially given her schedule, but I'm willing to take a chance, and we're both willing to work at it. If things don't work out, it'll be painful, but it just means it wasn't meant to be.

Thank you, princessblush. :-)
It's going to be a long, hard road, not just because of the distance and her life situation, but also because of some of her behaviors. She's an extremely impulsive person, and often she doesn't seem to have any desire to work to alter her behavior (even if it's hurting someone else). She's been diagnosed with ADD, so often times maintaining regular contact with her is challenging (although she manages to keep to her school schedule!). I admit 100% to bringing my own set of baggage to the table in this relationship, though, (think constant anxiety), but she's been completely accepting so far. She's got the patience of a saint!
Despite all this, she's undoubtedly the most caring, understanding, accepting, charitable person I've ever met. I cherish the time I spend with her, and I keep her in my thoughts when we're apart. So, will things work out? Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. She's more than worth the effort and the risk, though, and if I didn't try, years down the road I'd be wondering what could've been.

I wish you two luck :) It is nice to hear a man talk about his love for his girl friend =)
