My Creepy Roommate. What Do I Do!?

I am a sophomore in college and during my first year, I roomed with one of my high school friends, named Rachel. At first, I didn't think we would get along as well as we actually did. To be honest, we became inseparable. We did absolutely everything together. We ate, napped, ran, did homework, and even went to class together (we had 4 out of 6 classes together). We would shower at the same time and have conversations between stalls and also slept with bunk beds. We have a humor that not many people understand, but once you do, you'll think we're the funniest people in the world. Because we know funny. Some people think this is crazy because everyone knows Rachel is someone that is hard to get along with. She gets jealous way too easy and is bluntly honest. But I know how to deal with those kinds of people. Well over the summer, we made some space. We hung out with different groups of friends and I got a boyfriend named Jordan. He helped me move in to our first apartment with Rachel and two other girls. Mine and Rachel's rooms are on one side of the apartment right next to each other. That was my first mistake. I swear, I can't get a second away from this girl. I can't stand her being in my face ALL THE TIME. Its like she's so bored that she has to get attention from me at all times.

This is where things start to get CREEPY! Keep in mind, all of this has happened within the 3 weeks we have lived here. Lets list them out:

1. Lets just say, anytime I have a boyfriend, she gets pissed. She's mad when I hang out with them or even speak of their names! One day, Jordan came and surprised visited me so I dropped my plans with Rachel to go to the mall (because we were only going there since we couldn't find anything else to do) to hang out with Jordan of course. She decided to go take a drive to "get her mind off of things." Okkkayyy?? Whatever, it gave me more alone time with my boyfriend.

2. I was talking to my mom on the phone, in my bed, in my room, WITH THE DOOR SHUT. We were talking about what type of work schedule I was trying to get. The next morning, Rachel questions me about the conversation I was having with my mom!!!! WTH?? I swear she listens to me in my room. I wouldn't doubt it if she has cameras in my room.

3. We were eating at Panera one day and my mom called me. After I hung up the phone, I laid it on the table. She looks at my recent calls and asks me why my friend Lindsey called me earlier that morning......

4. I will be doing my homework or facebook creeping, with my door shut. She knocks on it. I respond with "Yeah?" She comes in, sits on my bed, and JUST WATCHES ME. Straight up just stares..... Seriously? Are you really that bored?

5. I came home from work one night. I found a note on my door, from her. It then lead me to a note on my tv, which lead me to my fan, which lead me to my pillow. Okay, first off, I really don't like people being in my room while I'm at work. She obviously isn't afraid to touch my stuff. And the notes aren't cute, unless you're my boyfriend or something.

6. I feel like I have to keep my phone in my hand at all times because if its sitting in the open and I get a call or a text, she will look who its from and announce it to me. Thanks nosy, but I can read it to myself.

7. Jordan and I go on double dates with our friends Aaron and Tyler (Tyler is a girl btw). ANYTIME we go to do something just the four of us, Rachel gets super jealous and pissed. Over the summer she called me crying because she wasn't invited to go canoeing. I honestly thought we were being generous. I mean, come on, why would she want to be the 5th wheel anyways? I told her to get a boyfriend (because she hasn't had one since junior year of high school and it only lasted 2 weeks) and she started yelling at me.

8. If Tyler calls me and not her first, it's the end of the world. She automatically assumes we are leaving her out (even though we will invite her) and that we're already better friends. She always listens closely to mine and Tyler's phone conversations when she knows thats who I'm talking to. And most of the time she will ask about it.

9. I went home for labor day weekend. She starts being all hostile and tells me "You better not go home every weekend." I responded, "I do what I want." Whats it matter to you. Yes, I know, we are friends and roommates. But that doesn't automatically mean I have to spend everything living moment by her side.

10. This one happened today, like 2 hours ago. When I got out of the shower, I came into my room to find ALL of my bras tied together......... I don't even know how to comment on this one.

11. I have never been more exhausted in my life. I rarely find time to sleep this semester and it just started. I got back from work today to find the apartment really quiet. So I laid down to take a nap. Well my nap last 2 very wonderful hours. This has never happened to me before, by the way. I wake up and found out Rachel started work today and that's why such a nap was possible. When she got home, she knocked on my door. I told her to come in and she did creeps the door open and stares at me. I say "What?" And she responds, "Just wanted to say hi."

12. I got out of the shower one day. I went into my room and shut and locked my door. I had just taken my towel off and she is already knocking on my door to come in. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TIME TO PUT CLOTHES ON. I go "I'm naked!" She insisted that I still open my door and cover up with a towel.

13. Jordan stayed the night and he slept in my bed with me against the wall. The next day she asked me if me and him were "doing it" because she could hear movement and something hitting the wall. She must of been listening very closely considering all we did was talk and then sleep. I had my TV and my loud fan on (because I love the sound of it).

14. Anytime I have my door shut, she yells at me from the other side, telling me I am being antisocial.

15. This one isn't creepy. I just thought this would be a good time to complain since we're already on the topic of how annoying Rachel is. When it comes to living on her own, she is stupid:
She doesn't know how to use a can opener, so I have to do it for her.
She asked me how to make spaghetti.
On our second day here, she learned about to turn on a dishwasher.
When she loads the dishwasher, she puts plates on the top shelf and cups on the bottom.
She doesn't know how to grate cheese.
I was leaving to go home one weekend and before I left she said, "Wait! If i wanted to make a baked potato, would I put it in water then put it on the stove?" <----- SERIOUSLY?????????

A couple of my friends think she might like me more than a friend. My friend Donna said it reminds her of the movie roommate... you know the scary movie. I would lock my door when I'm not here... or even when I'm showering, but my key doesn't work for my lock. I don't know what to do. Do I confront her? I have already tried making space between us and declining her invites to stuff. It hasn't made any of it stop, it just makes her mad. I have A LOT of fun with her and I don't want to lose her as a friend. But she needs to learn that she is crossing boundaries EVERYDAY. How do I make this stuff stop without hurting her feelings or our relationship?? Thanks for reading :) I feel a lot better now that I got that off my chest.

Im very sorry that your rooming situation isnt working out! Hopefully you can talk to her and tell her you need some space to do other things that dont always include her
