I am terrified of going to college. It's happening in less than 3 weeks, and all I can think about is the same thing:

1) What if my roommate is the stereotypical s l u t? Will I ever sleep?

2) 2 words- Freshman Fifteen

3) I want to have an honest relationship with someone who cares about me. Is that even possible in college?

4) Will I be ripping my hair out b/c of all the work? We're talking about the beginnings of a career/future. What if I screw up?

5) I love my friends and family, and pretty much all of them are staying at home. Thats harder for me to accept than anything else.

And ultimately...

6) Will I fit in?

I guess I'll find this all out and more in a few weeks. They say college is the best four years of your life,  so I can only hope this proves to be true. It's such a huge step, I feel like I'm leaving my childhood forever. It is, after all, a sort of rite of passage. And who knows? Anything could happen.

This story was written 6 years ago? What are the answers? I am exactly in the same position you were 6 yrs back..24 days till college :D

I'll guess this: You're going to have an amazing time. It's always awkward at the start, and it is indeed a 'break' from the past-- but everything you've prepared for. Enjoy as much as you can, but your feelings are totally normal!
