I also encourage attending Debtors Anonymous in your area. There's no fee (people voluntarily donate to cover the cost of renting the church basement room) and you get to be with people who are in your situation, and people who got out of debt. Chronic debting is not just a money issue, it's primarily an emotional issue. I was homeless in '06 and I am now debt free (credit card, back taxes 28K) once I pay off the final $275 I owe to the state. I will argue to have $100 in penalties waived tho before I pay it off! You can do it. Let go of the anger, create a plan and get the support of others.

What in the world does a 18 year old need 3 credit cards for? I hope what you were buying was necessary for life. If not, hopefully in the end you get out of dept... or ask for help from your parents. Just don't make it a habit or they will never again trust you will their money. I have 2 credit cards myself completely paid off, use them only for big purchases and usually pay them off quick using like $500 a month payments.

I prefer debt consolidation to secure a lower interest rate, secure a fixed interest rate or for the convenience of servicing only one loan. If you are like me and perhaps the rest of "Average America," you are feeling the pressures of financial debt. From payday loans to revolving credit card accounts, America has become addicted to debt. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages which are worth considering before choosing to consolidate your own debts. You can read more in the article posted on the payday loans blog at personalmoneystore.com.
