My Best Friend Is Gone.

 My best friend and her husband, small son and her mother were killed in a horrific car accident that was caused by a semi. They were on their way to a funeral when a car accident occured. While they were in a stand still a semi came barreling down on them. Witnessed said that brake lights were not applied and when checked out at the hospital he had nothing really wrong with him. However he plowed into my friends car along with two other cars and crushed them beyond recognition. My friend and one other person survived the crash. It took them over two hours to get her out. They rushed her to the hospital where she suffered major head trama. Her mother in law was able to make it to her in time to say goodbye. She died a day and a half later. Our other best friend and I are trying to deal with this and it is hard. During the few months before this we had all had a fight and were not speaking. I hadn't talked to her for almost 4 months. We never got to make up or say we were sorry. I can't stop thinking of how they went. I read that they couldn't get anyone else out until they had the cars at the impound. It still took them nine hours to get them all out. All in all, that day he killed 10 people. I try to think positive and remember the good times but it just gets me when I hear a song or see that car, or anything else that we used to do together comes up. I am snappy with people, no patience, and get into a funk sometimes. I miss them. My kids were best friends with their son as well. Kids have a funny way of dealing with things. They are okay as long as they know he is with God. They look up at the stars and see the brightest one and say he is looking down on them. I know I will see them again.
