I went to rehab for 8 weeks,6 months to a chiro, two years of traction, meds and more therapy. It just goes on and on. I've had injections in my spine all kinds of meds. I don't talk anymore because they don't help. I will have to continue to take anti-seizure meds for the rest of my life. I have regained cognitive ability but still suffer with memory loss. I have also regained speech and vision. I don't feel as though I will ever be pain free and will just have to deal

That's what I keep hearing! Haven't figured what that is yet. I am thinking that purhaps this will bring awareness to the traffic problems in the area where the accident occured. It happened in front of my sons school when I was dropping him off. There are people, kids buses, teachers general drivers going in all directions in the morning and afternoons with no direction. I'm surprised a student has not been killed.

I'll check into that! Thanks... I am willing to try anything. Some times it becomes so overwhelming all I can do is cry...I just try to breath through it.

I am sorry to hear about your neck and back pain. I can't imagine being in pain like that all the time. Is there not anything that the doctors can do for you?

There may be a way for you to overcome what has happened to you. I don't wanna sound like a hippie, cause I'm the farthest thing from. And I certainly understand all the reasons not too, because I myself am not doing it, and trust me I could benefit, because i myself am injured for life due to a car accident. Anyways . . .

My soon to be stepfather was in an accident and seriously inured his spine. He went through months in the hospital, rehab. They told him that he would probably never walk again, and that if he did, it wouldn't be normal. He's a very zen guy, though, and channeled his whole mentality through martial arts. I'm not suggesting you get out there and fight anybody, but I seriously think you could, and i could, benefit from something like Tai Chi. I've never done it myself but I've done extensive research in hopes of trying it. There isn't a single person I know who is involved in it that hasn't found themselves, more focused, more happy, more at peace. Tai Chi is directly descended from yoga, so that is also a good choice, but i like the far eastern flavor :-) And yes, meditation, and eastern medicine, can overcome even horrible car accidents.

I can't stress enough how much i need to follow this advice myself right now (blush)

inthewood..I too am blushing because I thought you were trying to tell me to try something else. Of an illegal nature! I don't do that and don't know other's that do! Where was my mind? I can't even believe I am admitting that I thought that!
