I Am Inspired By The Sky Over Texas
The sky over Texas is loud tonight.
The clouds have an ominous yellow tint,
reflecting white lightening so constant that
it's almost like day. The thunder vibrates the
ground where I stand as it traverses across the night,
as if god was running sound for the storm, panning it
from one side of the sky to the other.
I can no longer see due to thickness of rain falling so
hard I feel it splash me from five feet away.
I am spellbound, in awe, and I can't look away from
this strobe that scares me to death.
If god's running sound, and the devil's on lights,
The storm must be Stevie Ray Vaughn!
I'm watching and listening as the show goes on,
and what a show it was!
It's dark again, and oddly silent.
You'd never believe such a storm just blew through,
If it weren't for this Texas flood.
