I Am Intelligent...

I am smart enough to know when to keep silent and allow another to state a point and listen. I know enough to know that I don't know everything and that I have much left to learn. I am intelligent enough to know that there is no real such thing as a stupid person, just one who is ignorant of facts. Ignorance is a disease of the mind. When one takes the time to question what they have been taught and believe, then they grow as an individual. When we shut our minds to facts, even those facts we do not like. Then we become woefully ignorant, or better yet willfully ignorant and that is the danger to us as a people. For in Ignorance lays the path ways to Fear, Anger and Hatred.

As a child I was always taught to question but never to question what is being taught!! But now I question everything. Not that I am always in doubt, but I try to understand things better by asking questions, most of the times to myself.

And that is all any one can ask of anybody. As a friend of mine is fond of saying "Question Everything!, Except the contents of a Tuna Melt, somethings you got to take on faith!"
