I planted tomato plants out back. Never attempted growing food before. They've survived so far, and have a few flowers on them. Not sure if they will ever yield any crops, but I have less than $30 invested, so even if I get nothing, it's not a huge loss. I do love fresh tomatoes, especially in a tomato / olive salad (olive oil & balsamic vinegar dressing, with raw garlic and some oregano....yummy). Haven't had any really good tomatoes yet this year. Bought some the other day from a roadside stand. The old lady selling them said it hasn't been a good year for them. I agreed with her, after eating my salad.
