Weird Thing Happened To Me The One Time, Not Sure What It Was.

I remember waking up and suddenly hearing this hissing sound. Maybe it was in my dreams or something, but it really creeped me out. For some reason, I thought it was a snake (which is evidence that I might've heard it in my sleep or something). But it kept me up for at least an hour. I just kept on staring at my floor and trying to figure out what it was. Well, I'm not completely sure I was asleep before I heard it. It's hard to remember.
The apartment complex I used to live in is known for being haunted. Other members of my family have had experiences there. It supposedly was built on an old cemetery.
The cat I used to have had an experience in which she was afraid of the couch. She wouldn't go near it and would freak out if you brought it near her. It could have been something else, however, that scared her.
