I feel the same. I hate it when people assume because you are an introvert, then it surely must mean you are depressed, anti-social, or maladjusted. Noo- you don't understand. Some of the most rewarding, intelligent conversations have been with fellow introverts. ;))

some of the most complicated, beautiful people i have ever met were introverts. there's nothing wrong with it, you need to be accepted for who and what you are.

Everything you listed about yourself is fair game for an introvert. trust me understand. after I've been around people for too long I need days or even weeks to "recharge." there are times when my friends will call me over the summer to hang out and I may actually get angry that they're trying to contact me haha sometimes it gets that bad. Alot of people look down on having few friends, but I'd much rather have a few close friends than a ton of acquaintances that I don't have a strong connection to.

I love the feel of being able to enjoy time that I have to myself because it feels so liberating. It's just you - no one else, no one's opinion to worry about - just you in your safe zone. your world as I sometimes think of it. Also, I completely know what you mean by "small talk." I can't even describe to you how much I freakin HATE that. It just consists of the usual "oh hi, how are you? how's school? what are your plans for the future?" and the truth of the matter is that many times I truly do NOT care about what the other person has to say. I know it sounds harsh but that's just how I feel. I don't like to pretend that I'm interested in what the other person's talking about...ugh....I prefer and sometimes need conversations with actual depth to them.

Oh yeah, I especially hate it when small talk goes beyond just the "Hey! How are you?" phase. I keep finding excuses to bail out of the conversation, but the other person usually just insists on talking about these things even more and it usually just ends up as a very uncomfortable conversation.
