So if my great grandma was full Irish so how much Irish would be in my blood?

You aren't simple

12.5% if your grandfather was not Irish.

How I was always explained is it breaks every generation so great grandma was full then 1/2 grandma is 1/4 mom is 1/8 you and if you have kids it would be 1/16.

Ah. Thank you :)

No problem :)

Right, but you also need to know how Irish everyone else was.

I've wondered that myself. I mean how do they figure that sort of thing out anyway? I hear I've got a Native American ancestor back there somewhere but I'm guessing it's so diluted by now that their genes don't really have much of an effect on me. It would still be cool to know though :)
