Newly Diagnosed

I'm not sure if the subject should be "Newly Self-Diagnosed". I've been in and out of doctor's offices for the past three months. I was blood tested for Celiac disease, but the results were negative. I have an endoscopy scheduled for Friday. I've read so much about Celiac and gluten-sensitivity and my symptoms, and symptoms of family members, have matched up with this disease.

I went off wheat last week. It was the first time in years that I had energy and actually felt good. No more bloating, no more nausea, no more brain fog! It was absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately, the feeling was short-lived because I was told to ingest wheat again for this procedure. I feel even worse now reintroducing it back into my diet. But after Friday, no more gluten for me. I don't care what a test says. I know how my body felt. I can't wait to see how I feel in six months, a year from now.

I hope everyone in this group is living a happy gluten-free life! All the best! smiley ~ C

I am walking exactly in your shoes....but am not going to do an endoscopy. Have thought about the EnteroLab testing. Good luck! I too am amazed at how great I feel without it. Still trying to get rid of the brain fog after regluttening myself to test myself if that was what it was.
