I Don't Expect You To Care About Me.

I don't expect you to know me,

or even understand,

don't expect you to love me,

or even hold my hand.

Don't expect you to call me,

or even read my rhyme,

don't expect you hear me,

or even give me time.

Don't expect you to see me,

or even know I'm there,

don't expect you to recognize me,

or even pretend you care.

Don't expect you to believe me,

or even blink an eye,

don't expect you to follow me,

or even wish to try.

Don't expect you to befriend me,

or even wish to smile,

don't expect you to laugh with me,

or even spend awhile.

Don't expect you to notice me,

or even if you do,

don't expect you to trust me,

or even think it through.

Don't expect you to read my words,

or even give a hoot,

don't expect you to vote upwards,

or even mildly impute.

I like your poem. I always wanted to write poetry but I never understood how.

Write it from the heart, and it will flow from your pen. There's no mystery to writing poetry it's a simple task poems don't necessarily have to rhyme have a go, good luck and thankyou for your comment
