I Need Local Friends

I am very lonely.

Don't get me wrong, I do have friends.  I have a best friend, but she lives in a different state.  We grew up together, and even though we live far apart, we manage to continue to be each other's support throughout life.  I was her maid of honor in her wedding.  We are that close.

I even have a fiance, who is also my best friend.  But, at the moment, he's in a different country, until our fiance visa is approved.  We've been doing paperwork for it for about a year now, and we're hopeful that he'll finally be able to move here within this year.  He is my rock.

I have friends at work, but the ones that are my age, love to party and drink, whereas I am more of a quiet, laid back type of person.  I don't like large crowds or loud music, most of the time.  Every now and then doesn't hurt, but every other week is annoying.  The rest of my work friends are either decades older than me, or fresh out of high school, and while I don't mind spending time with them, I would love to spend time with people my age.

School friends from years ago are all moved away.  I have no local friends.  I don't know how to go about making friends.

I feel so lonely, because I don't have plans on my days off from work.
