First Date

I find myself feeling something I haven't felt in a very long time. I have butterflies in my stomach. I have been single now since 05'. I was married for 23 years before that. I guess it's been about 27 years since I have asked a woman out on a date. Since my wife left I have had no desire. But I think the combination of time, my happy meds, and lately the ability to sign on to EP and just write about what I am thinking or feeling has made me think a little differently. Thanks EP

So, a few weeks a go I started sending emails back and forth with someone over the internet that lives in the same town as me. I never thought I would, but I guess times have changed. She seems very nice and we are going to meet and go out this weekend. I am very nervous about this. So if anyone has any pointers that might make this a little easier like maybe if I could grow a little hair, get a few inches taller.

Maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up? Wish me luck...

Hope it all went well for you.

I agree with Nuevo - asking questions shows you are interested in her life - which is always flattering :)
Try to be yourself, no use pretending to be someone different to impress her - at some stage you will get embaressingly caught out. But dont tell her your life story - keep a few things secret - women love figuring people out :)
Good luck - and have FUN:D

Good Luck to you..I hope everything works out!
