Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

i came home to an empty house, my partner nowhere to be found.  mechanically i removed my bag and coat and absorbed the silence. i bit my lip. upstairs to the bedroom and the door opens down below. i start for a moment, smile, satisfied knowing héd be with me in a moment´s pass, only, he wasn´t: it was the neighbor´s life, echoing up to mine.  so i pressed my finger alighting the small glow of my computer screen, sitting, staring, searching feverishly for signs or sentiments of someone, anyone. 

i am confronted instead, with the depths of solitude, and so i type, click-clacking away as i try to find...

We're separated. She's moved away, taken my daughter. Sons here for jst a few months more but they may as well be gone, locked in room with electronics.<br />
