Something... Cost-effective?

Ok, I am desperately in need of a new hobby. Unfortunately, I am also desperately in need of a lottery win (the odds of which are increasingly unlikely, since I don't buy lottery tickets). So basically, I need a hobby that's not going to cost much. There are a lot of things I'd love to do, but they all seem to involve some sort of 'investment'.

Any ideas??

try a site meetup and there is several group of people doing things together such as hiking, drinking, readings, sculpting, meeting to play with dogs... learning language and the site is free.

Kayaking....

i will make the same suggestions as I did CuriosityKitten.. dance class, jewlery making, painting, that could be anything, carpentry, candlemaking, cake decorating.... you can also go to internetbiz.com/hobbies/index will give you a list.. Happy Hunting

Oh. My. God.

You know the twisted thing about all this?? I'm looking at all your 'suggestions', but I'm actually imagining them coming from your avatar.
HOT.
Maybe perving at Dr. House is a hobby. Actually, it's probably a medical condition.

Disco Dancing?

I'm actually pretty good at skeet shooting. I also have a black belt in TaeKwonDo, so watch yourself, Mister =P
Paintball would be fun... but probably involve some expenditure. Also, it needs to be considered that I have no friends, so I would be playing paintball by myself. I'm not sure if that's possible. But I could definitely try.

Paint ball?

I'm starting to detect a pattern here.

If you're alarmingly deficient in balance, do NOT attempt rollerblading. I took a header into the dirt in front of kids half my age. It was embarrassing. And painful.

Good grief. That's a bit ridiculous. Are you trying to get me killed??

Rollerskating's probably out - I am alarmingly deficient in the ability to balance. Hell, half the time I can't even stand up properly.
Reading and writing... I can do both of those. There's some potential, perhaps. And they'd be free... as long as I returned my library books on time, and stole pens and paper from the office.

Do you like to read? Write? Rollerskate?
