I've been spending way too much time on the internet lately, which I suppose may be normal but I'm actually loosing touch with the "real" world.

I haven't spoken to any of my friends in weeks. If they do call now, they talk to my mother to inquire about me, because I never return calls. I hardly go out unless it to work or a class or church. My family hardly sees me and when they do it's not for long. I have appointments and lots of other stuff that were supposed to be done ages ago. So now i have a really long list of things to do and i'm feeling overwhelmed.

There was a time when i would come online check my mail, reply if necessary, do reasearch, surf or whatever else and get off, unfortunately it's not that simple for anymore. Sometimes I find hours would have gone by when I'm online without me realising it.

The first thing I do when I wake is check my mail. If i'm out somewhere I have to have access to the internet. When I'm at work I'm allways using the internet on my cell phone which is very distracting so I stoped taking it to work.

Anyway I think I really need to find some sort of balance somewhere and i'm wondering if there is anyone else who feels the same way I do.

I wouldn't worry too much spring is almost here and soon your hibernation will be over. A few of us over here are hibernating too but this year we got the inter-net , this makes hibernating more interesting.
