Goodbye, Good Riddance

I feel the time has come to say goodbye
All that’s been said and done has made us cry
So rocky was the path that we followed throughout
We was both to blame there can be no doubt

I sat back and watched you carry on
When away from me your nightlife shone
Your so called friends were partly to blame
Ruining happy lives, to them just a game.

Sat alone for years all on my own
Tearful nights in our nice home
Drinking myself into sorrowful states
Down in your town, away from my mates.

Violence and threats each passing year
For most of the time I lived in fear
Your lies and deceits from late nights away
All the screaming and shouting the very next day.

I could take no-more; you’re no longer a friend
The damage is cast it’s too late to mend
I loved you once, but not no-more
