My husband and I got together nearly 14 years ago when I was 18 and he was 40. We have now been married 10 years and have 2 wonderful daughters. we are still very much in love, we've had our bad patches but have come through them stronger for the experience. We laugh together, talk together and love to spend time together and as a family. Age is just a number and has never ever been a negative feature in our relationship.

    Hi, I'm 18, and have been on and off with a man who is 42. We are very happy when we are together. We have a lot of things in common and that goes much deeper than just taste in music. When we are together, it's like our age is left at the door. The age doesn't factor. He tells me he really cares for me and really enjoys time with me and feels if I were older he wouldn't have as much of a problem with it. He has two kids, early teens who visit him every other weekend (divorced). He says that while he feels great and connected to me when we are together, long term he cannot see it working out. Mainly because we grew up in different generations and I don't have the same life experiences and milestones. He is afraid if he gives our relationship another chance, and we grow more attached, it'll hurt more then if its not meant to be or we go our separate ways. But for me, it was love at first sight, and together it is absolutely wonderful and blissful. I want him to not be afraid to take the chance..but I'm not sure how to convince him...however this post I want to share with him....
