6 Yrs and 3 Deployments

A personal story in the experience: I Am Married to a Soldier
h i my name is stefanie, call me stef if you like, i'm married to a us army soldier (crewchief, uh60's). we're currently stationed in katterbach/ansbach, germany and have been married for almost 6 years now and are in our third deployment right now :-( of course this time we were lucky enough to get the 15mths ... it's really hard these days to find anything positive about being an army wife so if there's not enough love you have for your soldier, it simply can't work. well i'm 26, i was born and raised in germany - for the funny people out there, i don't appreciate people calling me a nazi because i'm german, at least read your history books and then define the word nazi - i have a 5yr old son and a 6mths old daughter. we're supossed to ETS in feb'09 but we're thinking about re-enlisting if we can get a non-deployable unit here in germany. we'd like going to the states as well, unfortunetly as of right now all the non-deployable units are full :-( the only station the offered is korea and i'm not quite comfortable going there... lol...

well so much for now about little me. if you're not into the military-wives-clubs-drama or whatever, let me know ;-)

support our troops!

I thought that all units were deployable. Shows how much I know LOL! Anyway, it's good that you've survived so many deployments. We're facing our first deployment and I think I'm gonna die (not literally). Thanks for sharing.

You're a very strong woman! I am pretty new to being an Army Wife and my husband is currently stationed in Korea. I am actually getting ready to move there. We've been apart 11 of 16 months we've been married and i think its actually made our marriage stronger! Do deployments get easier the more they come? I still have a hard time saying bye to my husband... and always the first few weeks all i do is cry... does it eventually get easier?
