I Deleted That Story

But I will never leave this group.

I have questions about Israel and I just can't bear the fact that the whole world treats that country like some sacred cow about which people can't talk. Why can't we just discuss things?

Why did winners of a world wars decide that Palestine was the place fit as a home for Jews who were tormented and tortured in Europe? This is just not fair. At least I can't see how. Unless of course you take the Eugenic theory in account.

Of course they had religious places in Palestine. But there are places sacred to people in secular countries which don't have a national religion. Why couldn't that happen in Palestine? That place is sacred to all three major religions of the world. Why was that land forcibly taken away from the people who lived there and a foreign people grabbed that land and drove the original people to a ***** and developed themselves as the biggest military power of the region. Why did all this happen on the Palestinian land?

Of course this is all past and people say that Israel now is a reality. I agree. It is real. It can't be undone and it is a witness to the fact that the people of the third world(former colonies) have no right over their land and over their lives. Perhaps because their blood is cheaper. Perhaps Israel is still NOT a rogue state when an Israeli soldier can kill a pregnant Palestinian woman and print a slogan on his t-shirt "One shot, two kills!".

http://imeu.net/news/article0016292.shtml

But as I said, sacred cows exist. Even in today's world which boasts of freedom of expression, there are examples of Octavia Nasr and Helen Thomas who paid for utilizing their right of freedom of expression off the record even in their non professional lives.

There can't be any freedom flotillas or even freedom when might is right is the only thing that can define all that's happened, all that's happening and all that will happen.

FFW, do we really think there ARE any answers?

Okay, I'll be honest.<br />
<br />
I hate the injustices done by Israel and the injustices done in forming it. But I don't believe in Crush Israel Crap. Things cannot be automatically set to pre 1948 situations. Honestly, there are human beings in Israel too and for them the change has happened. They have assimilated and disrupting their lives by wars would be a crime just as disrupting any human being's life would be.<br />
<br />
I believe the places sacred to religions should be more protected and neutralized, aid to smaller communities should not be stopped and there should be more talks about it.

Yeah mewold.<br />
<br />
That is truth too.<br />
<br />
But why is all this happening? We don't usually think about that. We(including me) get enraged by the newsmakers, the occasional big waves in the stormy sea but we don't see what causes it.<br />
<br />
All i have learned from this experience is: Examples of the problem will always be there. We need to discuss some possible solution.<br />
That includes expressing our opinions, which may begin with our examples that anger us at first and then we might chill out, do other things and when the resentment is gone, try to talk things out and listen to people who have reason and information. <br />
<br />
This is what I learned. I find it awesome. Holding back is hardly the better thing to do.

I know Lorraine. There have been prophecies of great war of palestine in my religion too. But I maintain that i do not want to make this a post against any religion. Sure the problem is quite religious at the core(I've heard about the favourite nation of God who stopped being favourites from my elders too), but I think we should stick to what's happening in our time.<br />
*hugs*<br />
<br />
@ AP, I didn't know you had researched that much into it. Thanks for telling me all this. Wars never help. Its winning or losing for the main parites and the people suffer.<br />
Like my little brother just reminded me something from Poor Richard's Almanac. <br />
"There never was a good war or a bad peace."<br />
<br />
Don't even start to tell me about the refugees AP. I know how people treat the Afghan refugees.<br />
We have loads of them here. Some people call it cultural invasion, some people think they occupy more of our jobs because they're generally hardworking, but nobody really likes them. It is a fact that they brought kalashnikovs and heroin to become a part of the streets in my country.<br />
<br />
I saw one of their ghettos(yeah i have no shame in calling the camps that) a few days ago when i was going to take that test in the neighbouring city.<br />
<br />
But isn't it sad that we think they're all bad even though they really have no homes. They have been exposed to crime and bad life. If we give them the "good life", we become afraid that they will overcome us. Yet change keeps happening. They run successful businesses. Their kids are our fellow citizens. They will grow and intermarry too. No one can stop that. Should anyone even have the right to stop that?<br />
<br />
If we just view this as a study subject, I think its another sort of nationality evolution. There have always been "cultural invasions".<br />
Which takes us back to what we were talking about earlier. No one really owns the land. Sad but true, we're all visitors.

FREEFALLWALL, I find itvery interesting that you say the world says nothing and treats Isreal like a sacred cow. The way I see it, the palestinens shoot rockets over the border into Isreasalie towns and kill or injure people. No one says anything. Busses in Isreal get blown to pieces, killing people. No one says anything. Isreal fights back, and the whole world talks about what monsters they are. Don't you think something strange is going on?

Well said Andrew

And people think you're hippies to think that way. I'm getting a haircut tomorrow btw. :P<br />
<br />
Wars never stop happening because we never stop believing we're the best. Everybody can be the best or the worst.<br />
<br />
The best and the worst should be decided by an educated decision taken by a majority and should be talked out.<br />
<br />
Democracy in short. But it only works when there is enough unbiased awareness about a problem. Education is crucial for democracy to work.<br />
But that education is hardly what is taught in schools(they're just reflections of the society with might is right as the rule). <br />
<br />
What if Co-existence was a subject taught worldwide?<br />
<br />
But coming back to the present, i agree. Wars never stop

Fellas, it's prophesy !<br />
<br />
The great war to end all wars begins in the middle east

A world without war would be nice. Its so stupid really anyway. Forcing someone to go somewhere or do something only creates more resentment.<br />
<br />
Sadly, I don't ever see it ending. We can't all just get along.

You are right basspla<x>yer. Nobody owns land. All the wars have been fought and nationalities developed because one tribe(formed either on the basis of race or religion) claimed to own one land as rightfully theirs while actually they wanted the riches of that land.<br />
<br />
I've heard all humans originated out of Africa so maybe we should go flock there(They have actually been doing it. But not because of the "ownership rights", its happening because of the resources that were exploited first by the colonists and now by multinationals)<br />
<br />
But this is certainly not the point i wanted to make. What i wanted to voice was that Palestine's boundries were reset round about 62, 63 years ago by the people who claimed to bring justice to a tormented and tortured people(The Jews) and they did it by tormenting another people(the palestinians) who have been living in that place for quite a lot of centuries. All this in name of justice by democratic nations and it is still claimed as justice.<br />
<br />
No.<br />
<br />
In my humble opinion justice would prevail if people realized Palestine as a place that is sacred for an extremely large number of human beings. That place should be a war free neutral zone. All religious pilgrims should be allowed to visit that place in peace. All religious groups should be allowed to live there. There shouldn't be walls and tanks and bombs and armies of one religious group in that place. What are we doing? This is no religion. Everybody wants a better palestine.<br />
<br />
Wouldn't it be nice if people agreed to this?<br />
<br />
Comment to self: Dream on kiddo!

The only thing I have to point out is you say Palestinian land. Land is really not owned by anyone. We are here until someone decides they want to be here more than us. Being there first means nothing really. If this wasn't the case Russia wouldn't have been carved up.....or Yugoslavia......or countless other nations. The current world borders are merely a snapshot in time. They are constantly evolving. That will never change. My ancestors are from Hungary which was one of the most overrun countries in history. I don't hold out my hand expecting retribution from those that wronged "my people" hundreds of years ago. Land belongs to no one. Leave it to organized religion to keep the world fighting though.

Again, I think you are onto something here !<br />
<br />
The thing with the Jews and Israel is deeply rooted in the writings of the Old testament and history.<br />
<br />
The Jews in the Old Testament, were God's chosen people because they were the most righteous and obedient. When He lead them out of Egypt ( via Moses) they did nothing but *b*tch and complain*<br />
FOR 40 YEARS ! Joshua was the only person of the original 6 million lead out of Egypt to actually set foot on the promised land. All the others were born during the journey. Those that died along the way never saw the promised land.<br />
<br />
Fast forward to when Jesus lived..... He came to teach them that the prophesy of the Old Testament was being fulfilled.... He was born of humble beginnings so He could represent everyone, The Jews wanted a Messiah who was a King in THIS WORLD, and cared little for His teachings. They, to this day are STILL awaiting the Messiah and only believe in the Old Testament. Jesus will return to this world at the Mount of Olives, and it will be the markings on His hands and feet that will signal that He has been here before !<br />
<br />
The original Ten Commandments, in the Hebrew text, includes "Thou Shalt Not Kill (a Jew)" so they believe they are justified in continuing the fight to avenge their sla<x>yers. This will cause Israel to fall, because she has the power to stop it all. Just as she was a *horse with bl<x>inkers* during the Exodus from Egypt, and again when Jesus lived, she will suffer much before she is rescued.<br />
<br />
The Jews were the original chosen people.... but Jesus said that all GENTILES who live the Gospel and recognise Him as the Saviour, will be the chosen people !<br />
<br />
During Jesus time he said He was King in another world ( afterlife) but because the Jews were so focused on their short time on their earthly journey, they completely missed His point ( we use this life to exercise free will and show love and respect to all men) They are missing the point again..... Palestine is only a bit of dirt....not consequence in the afterlife.....but their treatment of others has far reaching effects when they enter His Kingdom !

I was not talking about this in a religious way. I had not intended to do anything like that.<br />
I love all religions and believe in all of the Prophets.<br />
<br />
I don't think they do it because they are Jews. I wouldn't go into the whole Zionist debate.<br />
<br />
There are pressure groups in all communities: Religious and ethnic. I firmly believe that those who torment other communities are not being very accepting and this is bad.<br />
<br />
I hate tyrants everywhere and don't believe religion or race or anything should be an excuse for imposing your life choices on anyone.<br />
<br />
Unless their choices harm others, there's every right for everyone to be whatever they want to be. If their choices harm others, there should be justice without any regard to race or religion. Justice should only be concerned with human rights(which are more or less universal) as decided by an unbiased law.

I also believe the Israelies are behaving badly. The question of the land dates back to Biblical times when the land of Canaan was declared the land promised to them by God. However, even Jesus said Jerusalem would be totally destroyed for it's behaviour.

I don't know what to say. One thing is sure. I wouldn't change my profile or delete it.<br />
<br />
I don't like getting too much comments on a story and fighting back and it gets so tiring and the people to whom it has no concern don't seem to get what's going on. I'm talking about the drama stories. I don't like them. This is the reason why i deleted it.<br />
<br />
I AM the same person. I take all the responsibility for my words. But why is there a delete button?
