My granny is Cherokee... and we go to pow wows... we all go as a family or me and some of my friends go... they are fun...some of my family members call me u-wo-hi-yu-hi which means loyal one, ga-li-he-li-s-di which means thankful one, and ga-ya-'nu-la which means fast one... I can teach u sum of the language...if u want... my grandmother and grandpa taught me the basics I need to know...

Yes, I had a Cherokee grandmother as well. She did the same thing with her hair at night. You'd never know it was that long during the day. At night it would almost tough the ground. I miss her very much. She was a wonderful sweet lady. Never said a bad word about anyone and had the softest voice I'd ever heard in my life.
