Only Partly, and I Don't L...

Only partly, and I don't look it either. I have blonde hair and fair skin, but I have the dark brown eyes. My mother and other siblings have the dark skin and dark hair.

Some things are better left alone. Just walk away and thank God their tribal government has no power over you.

I have met a couple of Cherokee's that had blue eyes and blonde hair. I was always told that it does not matter the blood quantum but what is in your heart that really matters. I have met full blooded Cherokee's that acted in such ways that would make you ashamed to call yourself Cherokee... while the ones who had the blue eyes and blonde hair seemed to take more pride in their heritage than those who are full blooded.. so yea.. in a way it is a feeling.. it is a feeling of pride. :-) I am proud to call myself Cherokee.

...the "fire?" Dusty, wtf are you talking about? You can't go to France and tell people you're French because you have the "French fire" in you.
Cherokee is a race, not a feeling...
Anyway, the only point Dusty said that's actually true is that it doesn't matter what you look like. There are many registered Cherokee with blonde hair. =)

It doesn't matter what you look like. If you believe in the beliefs and have the "fire" than you are Cherokee, even if others don't say so.
