Health Care Issue For Choctaws

THE HEALTHCARE I RECIEVE FROM THE CHICKASAWS, AS A CHOCTAW LIVING IN THE CHICKASAW NATION, IS NOT THE SAME AS A CHICKASAW - AT A POINT THEY HAVE MORE. AS A CHOCTAW LIVING IN THE CHICKASAW NATION, WHERE MY FAMILIES ALLOTMENT IS, CHOCTAW HEALTHCARE IS LIMITED BECAUSE I LIVE OUTSIDE THE CHOCTAW NATION. I RECENTLY FOUND THIS OUT WHEN I NEEDED MORE THAN CLINIC SERVICES AND HAD TO USE OUTSIDE DOCTORS ON MY OWN AFTER THE CLINICS REQUESTS TO THE CHICKASAW - MEDSAW TO HELP ME WERE TURNED DOWN. CHOCTAWS NEED PROPER HEALTHCARE NO MATTER WHERE WE LIVE! I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW MANY OF THE 202,888 CHOCTAWS LIVE OUTSIDE THE SERVICE AREA AND NEED HELP WITH THIS ISSUE? I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS.

I also live outside the service area and have to drive to Hugo or Idabel to get healthcare and the clinic services for me and my son are limited. I don't know what to do because I live in Texas so I often have to see private doctors that don't take IHS coverage. Then my health info is not shared with my main physician at the clinic in Hugo. There is a lack of communication between doctors in the private sector and those serving the Indian Nations, like we are one of the silent, forgotten races.
