I Want To Understand My Heritage

On my mother's side of the family I have a lot of French blood and maybe some Irish, but I would say that is it. It's my father's side of the family that holds a lot more diverse blood. Including Sioux indian. My father's mother has mostly Scotish blood and she married my father's father, a Colombian who had my dad and his brother. Just a little while ago my dad had told me that his grandmother (on his father's side) was a Sioux indian. My father had told me when I was little that we had a little bit of Sioux in us and never thought much on the subject. But I was completly obsesed with the fact. I was one of the few people in my school who had any type of indian blood and the time I asked my dad if we were in idian we were studying the basic indian tribes in American history. But this included very little about Sioux, all we really learned about them was that they were nomadic and hunted buffalo in the west. I want to understand more about the Sioux tribe because I was always interested in the history of American Indians, espacilly the Sioux and it's hard to study up on the subject.
