Daniel's Child

Daniel came a-running

We were meeting in the sun

Daniel was a dead man

When the night had just begun

Red sweater and red shoes

On a tree branch, then a call

Bloodred sweater, bloodred shoes

And blood in the waterfall

The seas changed their direction

There were bloodcrests on a wave

A shadow tumbled forwards

There was a crow on Daniel's grave

My thoughts are still in motion

When I'm walking past the tomb

Daniel left the surface

But his child stays in my womb

Loved it,

Brought to mind "Your Blood soaked lips wet my appatites" Verse from old cult song from 90's. Great Mental imagery! Leaves ya wanting more.
