A personal story in the experience: I Am Not a Poet But I Think I Write Poems
  • I walk along a lonely path, travel down this deserted street,
  • In the hope that a kindred soul, i chance to meet.
  • A friendly face, those loving arms, that certain smile,
  • Someone to whom i can relate and chat for just awhile.
  • That one who looks upon my heart and sees all that is good,
  • Just how it should be, the way that we all wish we could.
  •

    • A lonely spirit, who's life has been black and cold,
    • Their stone cold exterior, hides a heart of pure gold.
    • Searching for those things in life, that matter most,
    • But being invisible to but a few, a modern day ghost.
    • Yearning, wanting, needing and bound never to feel,
    • Like a condemned criminal, refused their final meal.

    • We are all searching, looking for an impossible dream,
    • Left hollow, empty and just wanting to scream.
    • An infinite journey, a saga that will never end,
    • In search of that someone, a very special friend.
    • I walk along a lonely path, travel down this deserted street,
    • Still looking for a kindred soul, hoping for a chance to meet.

I love the way you have shifted the points of views throughout this :)
the language you have used too, really captures what you seem to be explaining.
    Really well done :D

Thanks for your comment. I like writing "poems", but haven't written in so long. I wondered if it made sense to anyone else and now I know.
    Thanks again

I can really appreciate where you're coming from in your poem. I also write poems or fragments occasionally and wonder about similar themes to those you express so well.

Thank you for the nice poem, it is very touching.

    1. From the replies, I would have to say that you have come across some kindred souls here, who share similar feelings. I guess the digital communications does has it's advantages.

    2. I often think many of us would do much better in life if we would be guided from childhood do be more prepared for a path "from the alone to the alone". since this is the reality many come to live, and not just the "happily ever after" which is being fed again and again as an only option.
maybe this way people will learn to be more kind to their fellow man and a bit more prepared for their own path.

    In any case,
    Lovely poem,
    thank you,

From across the other side of the globe,
A thousand blessings and a million hugs,

    Green Samurai !
