I Like Being Comfy

I see myself as a non-conformist and free spirit so when I wear something it's because *I* like it, not because some stupid magazine is pushing the product of some designer. I tend to go for what's the most comfortable, even when I dress up. I like dress shoes, boots and sandals but they have to be flats. I like make up but not enough to wear it every day or spend more than just a few seconds to throw on eyeliner and lipstick. Sometimes rather than do my hair I just throw on a hat and call it a day. I'll never understand the girls that spend over an hour putting their look together. I mean, it might be a novelty to try once or twice but on a daily basis it would make me wanna pull my hair out.

Yes....I also wear things because I like them. Someone I know went out and spent a crazy amount of money on some stupid jeans. Not that I care about how much she spent-but she went ON AND ON about how MUCH they were....EVERYTIME I see her, she is wearing them. EVERYTIME.
I am wondering how smart of a choice that is because, I actually got complimented in front of her while I was wearing a pair of jeans I bought for 18 bucks. I said to the person, "Thanks! They were 18 bucks!" She looked like her eyes were gonna fall out. They never complimented her on her overpriced ones.
go figure.

I sometimes go browsing in thrift stores and consignment shops. I've found some very cute things there that I have gotten compliments on before too and I always feel compelled to tell them the price I paid for it too. hehehe
