i do not fear the unknown dear! i fear my boss so much that i do not even dare to do anything which i know will make him unhappy. i am not at all happy with my job, and without his information have applied for a new job. now i am so afraid that what if he finds this out.
i had not signed any bond and whatever i am doing is completely legal - after everyone has a right to be happy and do progress in their career - still i am so afraid of him :(
you tell me what should i do?

That is the power of fear -- to keep people where they are despite them being unhappy or even miserable. I left the LDS / Mormon organization, and as difficult as it was, and as scary as it was painted to be by everyone around me, it was the best decision I have ever made and I can now truly say that I am on the road to being myself -- to being happy.

LDS: Latter Day Saints. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, previously and still officially known as the Mormons, is a religious organization that is, in my opinion, more of a cult than anything else. A cult that I escaped from and am now trying my best to educate others about the truth behind its ideas and practices.

okay. you are doing a great job, but i am surprised that you are doing too much for your age! i mean you are too young, and you already have experienced so much in your life. were you people allowed to go to college and do regular studies like others?

Absolutely, it is encouraged, especially when there is a Mormon University. Members are pushed to become contributing members of society, in part because 10% of the salary is donated back to the organization and in part to maintain the illusion of the organization being a positive influence on those it touches.

This can be said of every organized religion there is. Hands off my spirituality!

True, but I had first-hand dealings with the Mormons / LDS, still I agree that the pattern does seem to be a general one. That said though, some organizations tend to use it more than others.

My experience is limited to the catholic church unfortunately. The main problem I have with them, apart the dogma, is how difficult is to officially leave it.

Leaving the Catholic Church is nothing compared to leaving the Mormon / LDS organization. They stone wall you and track you down in every way they can, trying to guilt you back and use you as an example of failed efforts to leave the "One True Faith". No other organization is able to track its members the way the LDS can, and that alone scares me.

LOL - once they have you, they want to keep you. It is not about faith but control and power -- them having control and power over you.
