Its Always Been Just Me

I was born with red hair.....that was rare on my estate
I have three older sisters and had an over protective mother so I played by myself for most of my early childhood.
Through my teenage years I would be grounded for the most trivial reasons (being a few minutes late home, though I was never brought a watch) so creating friendships beyond school hours was hard. So after school finished the friends ceased.
I finished education and found my own flat but not a job so I was too skint to go out most of the time. There were other reasons for this aside from money but they are for another time.
I have never made friends easily because all the times that I spent alone my interests became those that are easiest alone like reading etc.
It took me a long time to realize my differences were an asset.
It has taken the internet to find out I'm not like most people but that I am also not unique in my experiences.
