I Don't Party

Oh gosh! Being crammed in a house with a bunch of drunk people isn't my idea of a good time. I prefer staying at home doing more productive things with my time. Like reading, writing my book or just relaxing. Partying is definitely not my cup of tea.

I've owned dance halls, rock n' roll joints, bars and restaurants (I own one now). I can hear the people, the kids that shouldn't be brought out in public, and the occasional drunk. I go on writing unless it gets out of hand and then I throw people out. Call me curmudgeon, like I'd care.

Better to enjoy your writing than to be cool in the eyes of the Un-cool. They don't know what really cool stuff is.

Living well is the best revenge.

Right? I fundamentally don't get how the standard image of a "party" got popular. How is being reduced to animal levels of intelligence in a hot, smelly room with a bunch of strangers a good idea?
