I Am Not Very Close With My Relatives

Am In The Right Track?

Being in a blended family is something that is very challenging. Perhaps, this is one of the reasons why I am not that close to my  relatives. My parents got divorced when I was 5, remarried and I was introduced different people who i don't even know. But because the situation required me to stay with them, I had no choice but to do so. We moved from one place to another and I stayed with my mom til I was 9. But my mom had a problem with his new husband and she decided to let me stay with my day. I felt that I was unwanted. I felt that even my relatives from both sides do not even know that i even exist and I felt that I can run to no one in during my dark moments. Sometimes, I want to look for my relatives but I don't know how to. I am hoping that I could find a family in them but I don't know where to go from here.

    Hi samdawson, I'm sorry you are having to go through all this! If I were in your shoes, I would find myself first. A counselor can help you figure out what is going on and what you want to do. They can also be a great support for those 'dark moments'. Some people dismiss them because of various reasons,,,,but they have been there for me. I have been to a lot. And I still am grateful to each and every one who helped me. What have you got to lose? Big cyber Hugs!
