Enigmatic Veil

Enigmatic Veil

Only I know the truth
Of what's inside of me.
They think I'm so tenacious
And that nothing can pull me down.

What their eyes see is a mirage
That has been contrived.
Anguish is the reality...

There's a portrait of good intentions,
But the display is blinded.
Underneath the benevolence
disdain foments in the depths.

What their heart feels is fragmented
Because it's too vehement to accept it all.
Satiety for the egocentric is the actuality...

Now it has been exposed innately
And it's sequestered no more.

This poem touches me and pulls out the words and feelings I cannot say.
