What Am I?

The woods call my name and I hike alone.
My arms, fingers, ears and toes like to jingle when I walk.
The Jeep's grease comes out from under my nails with a good dose of go-jo.
My heart longs for the good company of a strong man.
My fingers know my guitar intimately.
Bluegrass flows from the heart of an Atheist.
A good book feels at home in my hands,
So does a nice glass of 12 year-old single malt Scotch - straight up.
My motorcycle helmet smashes my hair, and it does bug me.
The 38 tucked in my belt makes me feel secure.
The death penalty breaks my heart.
My church is nature; my meat is tofu.
My life is my stage.
What am I?
You tell me.

You are a kindred spirit with the likes of Karin Bergquist of Over the Rhine! Can't help but hear whispers of they lyrics for "The World Can Wait" and "All I Need (Is Everything)" when I read this!

Nicely put - i think i agree with you...<br />

You, my dear, are an old Hippie. Too young to remember the days of the 60's and 70's but too young to not go to concerts of the old bands...
