"You Sure You Wanna Hear This?"

I think I've perfected the little laugh I give when people ask me about my beliefs expecting that I have the kind of simple one word answer that just about everyone else has to sum things up. Like if they ask me about my religious beliefs thinking I'll just say something like Catholic or Jewish and that will be all they need to know. The little laugh is meant to say something like "are you really ready to hear all this and have you cleared your schedule for the next hour?" I'm just not willing to cram what I believe into one of those neat little pre-fab boxes for convenience  sake.

I totally agree. There is often more to an answer than one word or sentence. I have come to the realization that most people do not care to listen that long. This has gotten to me lately, the fact that most people I know do not listen. I am looking for someone to listen, ask questions, and really 'get me'! UGH! Anyhow, I am glad I am not alone in this department. There is more to an answer than one word or sentence, at least there is in my world!
