I love music, but the lyrics are the part that I'm more obsessed with.  I sometimes spend whole conversations just trading lyric for lyric.  (Eric and my uncle Billy are the only ones who can get this game- no one else has the same lyrical database to draw from, I guess they just don't know my songs)

I like lyrics too. Bad song lyrics make me laugh. This week I have been obsessed with listening to "How Soon is Now" by the Smiths. It really sums up what I am going through, i.e. can't find that special someone. But Morrissey puts it so well it doesn't make me feel sad it makes me laugh out loud, i.e. "theres a club you'd like to go, so you go on your own, and leave on your own, and you go home and cry and you want to die. ........ So you say it's gonna happen now, but what exactly do you mean? Cos I've already waited too long, and all my hope is gone. Brilliant. I have only just got into the Smiths. My favourite lyricist is David Bowie because they are so obscure, clever, poetic - I think he should write books he has a great turn of phrase.
