The Death Of An Animal, The Birth Of A God

sift me through a strainer to ensure

only the clean parts will show

throw the rest to the wind

to be dissolved in the air

I can see the destruction I'm bound to cause

living as this human animal

devouring everything in ignorance

separating myself from the whole

contributing to the epidemic of fear

causing my own suffering and the suffering of others

I pray for death

death is good

allows for birth of a new consciousness

allows for the evolution of life

how long will we go about

acting like hungry wolves fighting for a piece of meat

I'm waiting for the grace of God to rain down

and soak our souls in light and love.

A man asked in a prayer

"Who is God?"

God answered

"Who else but you."
