Mixed With My Own Little Belief

To start off with, for the religious fanatics past and present that stand by this ''worldview'' that they are certain is right well I have something to say about it, as far as humans go reality is everything we can see, hear, touch, taste, smell... as far as the electromagnetic spectrum, string theory, dozens of dimensions and the general universe goes those 5 senses only account for LESS than one millionth of reality...

But I dont think thats a bad thing at all, because it means that the very space in front of us may not be what it seems which means anything could be out there, or here so I find that kinda cool and mysterious... and when it comes to religion sometimes I like to go what the hell lets just say their all true, like theres a christian god and a muslim god floating around totally at odds with each other, I do realise that many of what is written in the old bible and others was used as a political tool to keep people in line but thats not what this post is about...

What I like about paganism is, from what ive read; its all about harmony with nature and that little one millionth of reality we have and as far as the individual is concerned its a body of beliefs for one to freely explore their spirituality and own philosophies, I think nature and earth is of great importance to man as why else do we stand in silence over a cliff side looking down on a mist tainted valley with a huge waterfall flowing with such power yet such finesse, to me that means surely its like as the dominant species we have a responsibility and a need to garden and protect it....

its not just modern paganism though I find all the ancient mythologies and more tribal beliefs very interesting and the stories are rather well thought out which anyone can respect, plus most of them had good symbolic value...
I take another large interest into the eastern religions like Buddhism because as well as believing in harmony with nature they had this notion of breaking your soul from being human which is a paradox because in order to benefit humans and the earth you need to become somewhat in-human, however it does work when you think about it because many mythologies have that old saying of all humans being born with a hole inside them that cannot be filled and when we become overrun with fear we tend to completly loose all our intelligence...

However unlike the more mainstream beliefs I still think you can indulge on all your impulses but what matters is how you embrace it and what you make of it, give a thug a knife he takes life and give a surgeon a knife he saves a life... Modern pagans also believe in embracing your human nature and I think if you try too hard to break off it you will become an empty vessel and not really feel alive at all, I watched this documentary where a group of men went on a buddhist trial and stood under a freezing cold torrent of water because it was about embracing pain, but afterwards they said even though it hurt like hell they came out feeling completly awake/alive and feeling refreshed on the inside, nice...

Maybe Jehovah wants everyone to become cold hearted machines to obey him for all eternity, well Im sorry to disapoint him then lol and Satan wants everyone to go crazy in trying to fill that empty hole and drown in endless power, well I admire the man for standing upto god but he needs some loving and theres more to the universe than conquering and consuming...

I may edit and add to this as I feel it isnt complete but its here for anyone to read in the mean time :) peace.
