I Am Peruvian
I was born in the USA. At 5 yrs.old, my Aunt took me to live her in San Isidro right across fro the Delicias. She & the rest of the family that fled Italy due to Mussolini Facists rule. Peru is the land of the rich & poor. The 2nd class is almost obsolete. The food is oh so good! I thought everyone lived in a big house and had servants. I was 5 mind you & I saw the maid's kid all alone. No one was around so we played together as children. I start to hear my grandma yelling at me to go to my room. There, she gave me a spanking & told me never to play with her again because she was from a lower class.
The places I've visited would take your breathe away with the gigantic dirt mountains and colorful houses by the beaches. You'll also find a high literacy rate among its people. In Peru , you'll find that the upper class looks nothing like the peasants that are on the streets looking for work. A lot of them look like they are from Spain. Unlike most Hispanic countries, they speak a higher level of Spanish called "Castellano ," If you ever hear how it sounds you'll get it in a hurry that they pronounce every syllable & don't use the "th- Z sound. King Carlos of Spain had a lisp & if you made fun of him or pronounced it differently, you would be beheaded. Peru took a different road. Peru,Bolivia ,Argentina & Venezuela speak Castilian Spanish. It is truly music to ones ears! Bad time to visit now... Sadly.
